For the cabana space, where color was requested, SUNDEK used SunAcid to stain the surface. SunAcid is a muriatic acid-based coloring system that reacts with the minerals and salts in the concrete to create a translucent mottled appearance. Because the stain interacts with the concrete, the result is a stunning, unique surface that can’t be replicated.
With SunAcid, crews stained the covered patio area in two colors: Penny and Whiskey.TRACE decided on a two-color surface design, choosing Whiskey and Penny for a cohesive look on the 2,700 square-foot patio area.
